This document is about FST3257, which is a quad 2:1 high-speed CMOS TTL-compatible multiplexer/demultiplexer bus switch.
The Fairchild FST3257 is a quad 2:1 high-speed CMOS TTL-compatible multiplexer/demultiplexer bus switch. It features minimal propagation delay and allows inputs to be connected to outputs without adding propagation delay or generating additional ground bounce noise. When the OE pin is LOW, the select pin connects the A Port to the selected B Port output; when OE is HIGH, a high-impedance state exists between the two ports.
The device operates with a power supply voltage (Vcc) of 4.0V to 5.5V and an input/output voltage range of -0.5V to +7.0V under absolute maximum ratings. It is available in three package types: 16-Lead Small Outline Integrated Circuit (SOIC), 16-Lead Quarter Size Outline Package (QSOP), and 16-Lead Thin Shrink Small Outline Package (TSSOP).

When OE is HIGH, the switch is OPEN and a high-impedance state exists between the two ports.
The absolute maximum rating for the supply voltage (Vcc) is +7.0V.
