About this manual

The STEVAL-IPE011V1 is an energy meter demonstration kit daughterboard designed for use with the STPMC1 and STPMS1 devices. It serves as an evaluation platform or a starting point for designing Class 1 meters for 2 to 4-wire power line systems using delta or wye service configurations.

The board features independent monitoring of phase current via a Current Transformer (CT) or shunt sensor, and phase voltage via a voltage divider. It includes an autonomous power supply that powers the daughterboard itself and the motherboard upon connection. The STPMS1 device on the board generates a sigma-delta stream containing voltage and current data, which is sent to the STPMC1 through a card edge connector.
