The MM74C48 is a BCD-to-7 segment decoder constructed with complementary MOS integrated circuit. It features a wide supply voltage range, guaranteed noise margin, high noise immunity, low power TTL compatibility, etc.
The MM74C48 is a monolithic complementary MOS (CMOS) integrated circuit designed to convert binary-coded decimal (BCD) data into a 7-segment display format. It utilizes seven NAND gates and one driver connected in pairs with decoding AND-OR-INVERT gates, along with input buffers for test-blanking and ripple-blanking functions.
Key features include a wide supply voltage range from 3.0V to 15V, guaranteed noise margin of 1.0V, high current sourcing output up to 50 mA, and provisions for ripple blanking of leading or trailing zeros. The device is available in a 16-Lead Plastic Dual-In-Line Package (PDIP).
| Supply Voltage Range | 3.0V to 15V |
|---|---|
| Noise Margin | 1.0V |
| Output Source Current (Max) | 50 mA |
| Operating Temperature Range | -40°C to +85°C |
| Package Type | 16-Lead Plastic Dual-In-Line Package (PDIP) |
The ripple-blanking input must be HIGH if blanking of a decimal zero is not desired.
All segment outputs go LOW regardless of any other input level.
The absolute maximum VCC rating is 18V.
