TP-425 Lithium Polymer Battery Charger Quick Start Guide

The TP-425 is a lithium polymer battery charger capable of up to 4 series cells and 2.5 amps of charging current. It incorporates very intelligent software algorithms which make it extremely safe to use even for the beginner. It's small package size and low weight make it ideal for use practically anywhere, especially for those who fly with smaller battery packs, such as park fliers. The ‘425 is meant to be a stand alone unit but it is still advisable for the user to acquire a balancer and use it periodically to assure maximum battery life. For proper, full power operation, it is imperative that a power supply capable of at least 4 amps be used. An automotive battery is ideal. To use the unit all one needs to do is the following: 1) Using the included power cable, plug one end into the charger and clip the alligator clips onto a power source, red to positive (+) and black to negative (-). 2) Plug in the proper battery cable (one that has connectors to match the battery you wish to charge). 3) Set the cell count (using the white button) to match the number of cells in your battery. Note that the unit has auto cell counting abilities and even if you do not get this setting correct the charger will automatically adjust to the correct number of cells. 4) Set the charge current (using the red button) to match the capacity of your battery. 5) Plug in your battery. 6) Push the black start/stop button. 7) When the green “full” LED is lit and an audible “chirpin”, the battery is fully charged.
