This manual describes the LifeCare 5000 Series Concurrent Flow Infusion System. The Abbott LifeCare 5000 is a multi-line, general purpose, volumeetric infusion system designed to meet the need for hospital-wide device standardization. It is a positive displacement infusion system with four components: the LifeCare 5000 Infuser, LifeCare 5000 PlumSet Administration Sets, an optional LifeCare Flow Detector, and the LifeCare 5000 DataPort for remote monitoring.
