ADP8140 is a 4-channel high current LED driver with adjustable power control. It provides a highly integrated solution for driving high brightness LEDs with minimal external components. The driver features four current sink channels with adjustable currents ranging from 0 to 500 mA. It supports DC LED dimming for noiseless operation. The matching between LED channels is 2% (max), and the LED current accuracy is 5% (max). The driver operates from a supply voltage (Vin) of 7.5 V to 30 V, and higher voltages can be achieved with a small external circuit. It can handle LED anode supply voltages up to 100 Vdc. The feedback output controls an external power source for optimal efficiency and safety. Multiple ADP8140 ICs can be operated in parallel to control a single power supply. It enables secondary side control of isolated power supplies without the need for a TL431. The driver also includes a dedicated DIM pin for reducing the output current.
