This document is the user guide for the evaluation board of AD company's ADF4001 integer-N PLL frequency synthesizer. It describes the features and functions of the evaluation board, as well as the accompanying software and additional equipment required.
This document is the User Guide (UG-092) for the Analog Devices EV-ADF4001 SD1Z evaluation board. The board is designed to allow users to evaluate the performance of the ADF4001 frequency synthesizer for phase-locked loops (PLLs). It contains the ADF4001 synthesizer IC, an SMA connector for the reference input, power supplies, and an RF output, along with a footprint for a loop filter and VCO.
| Frequency Synthesizer IC | ADF4001 200 MHz |
|---|---|
| Power Supply Voltage Range | 6 V to 12 V |
| ADF4001 VDD Voltage | 3.0 V or 5 V |
| ADF4001 VP Voltage | 3.0 V or 5 V |
| Maximum VDD Voltage | 5.5 V |
| Controller Board Interface | USB 2.0 |
The Analog Devices Int-N software (Version 7 or higher) is required.
The board requires a PC running Windows XP or more recent versions.
No, the board is shipped without a VCO, loop filter, or TCXO.
