Burster 8712/8713 Potentiometric Displacement Sensor Datasheet

This document introduces the adjustable potentiometric displacement sensors of the 8712 and 8713 models from burster. These displacement sensors are manufactured using special processes to achieve low friction, low stick-slip tendency, abrasion resistance, and long-term stability. The probe is pressed against the measurement object using pre-tensioned coil springs. These sensors are suitable for direct measurement, testing, and monitoring of small mechanical displacements.

About this manual

This document provides technical data for the Burster Type 8712 and 8713 potentiometric displacement sensors. These sensors are designed for direct measurement, testing, and monitoring of small mechanical displacements without requiring a form-fit connection to the measuring object via the spring-loaded push rod.

The datasheet details various models with stroke ranges from 10 mm to 150 mm, listing specific dimensions, non-linearity, mass, and power loss. It also specifies electrical parameters such as connection resistance, maximum operating voltage depending on the range, and isolation resistance, alongside mechanical properties like resolution (0.01 mm) and lifespan. This manual is written in German.

Frequently asked questions

Is a form-fit connection required for installation?

No, a form-fit connection with the measuring object is not necessary due to the spring-loaded push rod.

What is the recommended operating current for the slider circuit?

The recommended operating current in the slider circuit should be less than 0.1 mA.
