About this manual

The HI 93730 is an instrument designed to measure molybdenum content in water and wastewater within a range of 0.0 to 40.0 mg/L (ppm). It utilizes the mercaptoacetic acid method, where the reaction between molybdenum and reagents creates a yellow tint in the sample for detection by a silicon photocell.

The manual details the measurement procedure involving specific reagents (HI 93730A-0, B-0, C-0) mixed with the sample. It also covers operational features such as auto-shut off after 10 minutes of non-use, battery replacement using a 9V alkaline battery, and troubleshooting display codes for errors like 'Under range' or 'Over range'.
