This is an alkalinity test kit that can measure the amount of calcium carbonate in water samples. The measurement range is 0-100mg/L, with a minimum resolution of 1mg/L. The analysis method is acid titration. When using, 5mL and 15mL of samples are needed. The accessories include phenolphthalein indicator, bromophenol blue indicator, HI 3811-0, two calibrated vessels and a calibrated syringe with tip.
The Hanna Instruments HI 3811 is a chemical test kit designed to determine the alkalinity of water samples. It measures both Phenolphthalein Alkalinity and Total Alkalinity using an acid titration method with phenolphthalein and bromophenol blue indicators. The kit includes calibrated vessels, specific indicator solutions, and a titration syringe for precise measurements.

Read the milliliters of titration solution from the syringe scale and multiply by 300 to obtain mg/L (ppm) CaCO3.
Read the milliliters of titration solution from the syringe scale and multiply by 300 to obtain mg/L (ppm) CaCO3.
Use the large plastic vessel, fill it to the 15 mL mark instead of 5 mL, and multiply the syringe scale values by 100.
