This document introduces the accuracy and precision of the 96 channel 30µL tip of the Velocity11 Bravo liquid handling platform
This document serves as a technical note for the Velocity11 Bravo liquid handling platform, specifically evaluating its performance with a 96 Channel ST Disposable Tip Head. The study focuses on accuracy and precision across a low volume range of 0.5 to 5.0 µL using 30 µL tips.
The testing methodology involved dispensing a tartrazine/DMSO solution into 384-well polystyrene plates and measuring absorbance at 405 nm using a UV/Vis Spectrophotometer. Results indicate that the platform achieves a coefficient of variation (CV) of 0.9% at 5.0 µL and 1.9% at 1.0 µL, with accuracy improvements of +1.1% and +2.0% respectively compared to the desired volume.
| CV at 0.5 µL | 2.9% |
|---|---|
| Accuracy at 0.5 µL | +4.8% |
| CV at 1.0 µL | 1.9% |
| Accuracy at 1.0 µL | +2.0% |
| CV at 5.0 µL | 0.9% |
| Accuracy at 5.0 µL | +1.1% |
| Deck positions | nine |
| Compatible tip heads | 8-, 16-, 96-, or 384-channel |
The CV is 0.9%.
The accuracy is +2.0%.
Yes, it is designed to fit inside some models of laminar flow hoods and retain laminar flow.
The document tests the lower end of the practical volume range from 0.5 to 5.0 µL.
