About this manual

The Agilent Cell Proliferation Assay Kit is a system designed for accurately quantitating the number of cells in a culture, including both adherent and suspension cells. It can also be used to measure double-stranded DNA in samples of plasmid, lambda, or genomic DNA. The assay works by lysing cells and incubating the lysate with a dye that fluoresces when bound to DNA; fluorescence intensity is then measured using a standard fluorometer.
