About this manual

The DS2502 1 kbit Add‑Only Memory provides 1024 bits of electrically programmable EPROM organized into four 32‑byte pages. Each page can be permanently write‑protected, and the device supports a “add‑only” operation where new data can be appended without overwriting existing bits. Communication uses a single‑wire data line that also supplies parasite power for read operations.

The device includes a unique 64‑bit laser‑etched ROM code (family code, 48‑bit serial number, CRC) for absolute traceability, and a set of EPROM status bytes that allow page‑write protection and address redirection for data patching. Electrical specifications cover a 2.8 V–6.0 V operating range, programming voltage of 11.5 V–12.0 V at 10 mA, and an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C.
