P4KE Series Transient Voltage Suppressor Datasheet

The P4KE series is a glass passivated junction transient voltage suppressor with a rated voltage range of -6.8V to 440V. This series has a 400W surge capacity, a response time of less than 1.0ps, a low zener impedance, excellent clamping capability, and can work on a single-phase half-wave 60Hz resistive or inductive load.

About this manual

The P4KE series are glass‑passivated junction transient voltage suppressors offered in a DO‑41 molded‑plastic axial lead package. They feature fast response (≤1 ns), low Zener impedance, and a 400 W peak power capability for 1 ms pulses.

Maximum ratings include a voltage range of 6.8 V to 440 V, steady‑state dissipation of 1 W, and peak forward surge currents up to 40 A for an 8.3 ms half‑sine pulse. Devices operate from –65 °C to +175 °C and are UL‑94 classified for flammability.
