KTI KC-300D KC-300DM 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Media Converters

10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Media Converters are designed to convert 10Base-T or 100Base-T signals to/from 100Base-FX fiber signals. It is used to extend the connection distance between two Ethernet devices via fiber cable transparently with no performance degradation. The media converters not only support existing variety of multimode and single mode fibers but also support Bi-Di WDM and CWDM fiber network applications. It is also featured with design to support center chassis installation with optional power redundancy and management features when a larger fiber network is required.

About this manual

The KC-300D and KC-300DM media converters provide full‑wire‑speed conversion between copper Ethernet (10/100Base‑TX) and fiber (100Base‑FX). They support a wide range of multimode and single‑mode fibers, as well as Bi‑Di WDM and CWDM applications, and can be installed on a desktop, wall, DIN‑rail, or within a center chassis for larger networks.

Key specifications include IEEE‑compliant TP and FX ports, low power consumption (2 W max), operating temperature from –5 °C to 50 °C, and compact dimensions of 108 × 72.5 × 23 mm. Configuration switches allow adjustment of TP mode, speed, duplex, and link‑fault pass‑through, with optional USB power and status reporting for the KC-300DM variant.
