The LTC1754-3.3/LTC1754-5 is a micropower, regulated 3.3V/5V charge pump with shutdown in SOT-23. It features ultralow power (IIN = 13µA), regulated output voltage (3.3V ±4%, 5V ±4%), 5V output current of 50mA (VIN≥ 3.0V), 3.3V output current of 40mA (VIN≥ 2.5V).
The LTC1754 family provides ultralow‑power charge‑pump DC/DC conversion in a tiny SOT‑23 package. It delivers a regulated 3.3 V output (LTC1754-3.3) or 5 V output (LTC1754-5) with ±4 % tolerance, supports up to 40 mA or 50 mA load current respectively, and features a shutdown current below 1 pA for battery‑powered designs. The internal oscillator runs at 600 kHz (3.3 V version) or 700 kHz (5 V version) and the device includes short‑circuit and thermal protection.
Typical applications include SIM interface supplies for GSM phones, white‑LED drivers, Li‑ion battery backup, handheld computers, smart‑card readers, and PCMCIA 5 V supplies. Careful layout with a solid ground plane and low‑ESR capacitors is recommended to achieve low output ripple and reliable operation.
