About this manual

The CDB4272 evaluation board is designed to evaluate the CS4272 stereo audio CODEC. It offers differential analog inputs, XLR connectors for inputs, RCA phono jacks for outputs, and optional external configuration headers. The board includes a Windows‑compatible GUI that communicates via the PC’s parallel port to configure the CS4272 and related components.

Power is supplied through three binding posts (+5.0 V, +18.0 V, and –18.0 V) with jumper options for flexible voltage routing. The board features a canned 12 MHz oscillator, external control headers for I²C/SPI signals, and detailed grounding and decoupling guidelines to ensure low‑noise performance.
