The SX120 / SX80 / SX50 are draw wire position transducers manufactured by WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH. This technology has small size, short assembly time and customization features, and can be used in a wide range of industrial applications. This sensor has high dynamics and fast response, and can be used in harsh industrial environments.
WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH offers the SX series drawwire position transducers, which convert linear motion of a rope into rotation using a spring‑driven capstan and an encoder. The sensors are compact, rugged and can be customized for harsh industrial environments, including offshore use with HARTCOAT® coating.
The product line includes three models: SX50 (up to 1250 mm), SX80 (up to 3000 mm) and SX120 (up to 6000 mm). They provide analogue (potentiometer, 0‑10 V, 4‑20 mA), digital, digital‑absolute and various bus interfaces (SSI, CAN, Profibus‑DP, DeviceNet, EtherCAT). Standard protection is IP65 with an optional IP67 version, and the housing is aluminium with titanium‑grey anodising.
