IP 5503 is an output module based on the CANopen protocol. It has 8 relay outputs and LED indicators to display power status, CAN bus status and relay status. The module can be used to control and manage devices and is widely used in building and automation fields.
This manual describes the DOLD IP 5503 digital output module, which switches signals for controlled installations in building and automation technology. It explains wiring, CAN‑bus connection, address setting, and operation in both CANopen and Plug‑and‑Play modes.
Key features include eight relay outputs with LED status indicators, galvanically isolated CANopen interface, selectable address range, and compact 70 mm width. Technical data such as supply voltage, power consumption, contact rating, and environmental limits are listed for proper integration. This manual is written in German.
| Number of outputs | 8 |
|---|---|
| Supply voltage | DC 24 V |
| Power consumption | 0.5 W |
| Contact current rating | 2 A |
| Switching capacity (AC 230 V) | 3 A |
| Module width | 70 mm |
| Dimensions (W×H×D) | 70 × 90 × 61 mm |
| Operating temperature range | -20 °C to +60 °C |
| Ingress protection | IP 40 |
Use the two front rotary switches to select an address; allowed addresses are 1‑49 and 51‑99, while addresses 0 and 50 are prohibited in Plug‑and‑Play mode.
A yellow LED shows power presence, another yellow LED indicates BUS activity, and the eight red LEDs display the status of each output relay.
