The 73S1209F Evaluation Board is a dual-voltage power supply, serial smart card reader development kit for the efficient evaluation and development of stand-alone solutions. The board provides two interfaces. The board can be used in conjunction with any Windows XP host system that has an RS-232 port. The host application can access the board through the Teridian Pseudo-CCID (PCCID) commands to communicate with asynchronous smart cards, following T-0 and T-1 protocols, in compliance with ISO7816-3 and EMV 4.1 standards.
The Teridian 73S1209F Evaluation Board is a dual‑voltage power‑supply and serial smart‑card reader development kit. It ships with the board pre‑loaded with firmware, a CD of drivers and applications, an RS‑232 cable and a 7‑12 V DC power supply.
The Quick Start Guide walks you through installing the PCCID driver package on a Windows XP PC, connecting the serial cable, powering the board, and launching the provided TSCP‑CCID demo application to activate/deactivate smart cards and run test sequences. It also notes ESD precautions and points to further documentation for embedded integration.
