ADAV803 is an audio codec introduced by Analog Devices for recording DVD. It features stereo analog-to-digital converter, stereo digital-to-analog converter and stereo sample rate converter.
The ADAV803 stereo audio codec integrates a high‑performance ADC, DAC and sample‑rate converter on a single 64‑lead LQFP chip. It supports a wide range of audio sample rates (32 kHz‑192 kHz) and provides up to 102 dB ADC dynamic range and 101 dB DAC dynamic range, with 24‑bit resolution for all converters. Control is performed via an I²C‑compatible serial interface, and the device operates from separate 3.3 V analog and digital supplies.
The datasheet includes functional block diagrams, pin configurations, timing specifications, power‑down considerations and detailed layout recommendations to minimize noise. It also lists absolute maximum ratings, ESD precautions, and ordering information for the ADAV803 and its variants.
