About this manual

The SAMSON‑T 8015 Series 240 pneumatic control valve family provides globe‑type valves (Type 3241‑1 and 3241‑7) for process engineering and industrial applications. Available in nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 300 and nominal pressures PN 10 to PN 40, the valves operate over a temperature range of –196 °C to 450 °C.

The modular design allows selection of body materials (cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron, cast steel, stainless steel, forged steel, etc.), sealing options (metal sealing, soft sealing, high‑performance metal sealing) and accessories such as positioners, solenoid valves and flow dividers. Detailed dimensions, weights and Kys flow‑coefficient tables are provided for each version.

Frequently asked questions

What are the fail‑safe positions of the valve?

If the actuator stem extends (FA) the valve closes on air failure; if the actuator stem retracts (FE) the valve opens on air failure.

Which materials can be used for the valve body?

The valve body can be made of cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron, cast steel, cast stainless steel, forged steel, forged stainless steel, or special materials on request.

What size and pressure ranges are available for the Series 240 valves?

They are offered in nominal sizes DN 15 to DN 300 and nominal pressures PN 10 to PN 40.

Can the valves be equipped with accessories?

Yes, the modular design allows adding positioners, solenoid valves, flow dividers and other accessories according to IEC 60534‑6 and NAMUR recommendations.
