This is a document containing frenostat and frenomat electronic braker cUL certification and CE certification information
The document provides general information about Hilger & Kern's electronic brake series frenomat and frenostat, including export‑related cUL certification, CE marking, EMV compliance and mechanical strength testing. It describes the functional principles, features such as optical status displays, overload protection and integrated temperature monitoring, and gives example applications like swing‑sieve braking.
Detailed technical data are listed for the various device sizes, including maximum braking currents, input and output voltages, operating temperature range, dimensions, weight, wiring recommendations and optional network‑smoothing chokes. Installation and commissioning notes cover safety precautions, potentiometer settings, LED status indicators and over‑heat protection mechanisms. This manual is written in German.
| Maximum braking current (frenomat 2) | 30 A |
|---|---|
| Input braking voltage | 230 V – 500 V |
| Output braking voltage (230 V AC) | 80 V DC |
| Operating temperature range | -25 °C to +45 °C |
| Contact rating | 250 V / 5 A |
| Braking time | 0 – 12 s |
| Dimensions (frenomat 2) | 68 × 55 × 110 mm |
| Weight (frenostat 2000 Baugröße 2) | 7.5 kg |
They are listed with Underwriters Laboratories Inc. cUL (UL File No. 225692, Control No. 1 Y D 1).
The braking current should be at least three times the motor’s rated current.
It can handle up to 500 A (also 300 A and 400 A).
It has integrated temperature detection; the O‑LED blinks and prevents motor restart until the device cools.
