Coliy Technology R500 Radiation Detector Manual

R500 is a multi-function digital nuclear radiation meter with a large flat spiral sensor made by the United States National Bureau of Standards. It has high sensitivity and can quickly detect the intensity of α, β, γ, and χ rays. It has a correction factor function, customers can adjust the correction parameters themselves; it provides an average time setting function, which greatly improves the reflection sensitivity. The R500 digital nuclear radiation meter conforms to ergonomics, the anti-saturation circuit can avoid electromagnetic interference, and has a safe calibration function, which can avoid radiation exposure of calibration personnel. The product has European CE certification and ISO9001 quality certification.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a radiation detector?

If you may encounter radiation in your environment—whether at work, in public places, or at home—the R500 detector helps you monitor and protect against potential contamination.

What measurement units does the R500 use?

The R500 displays radiation exposure in µSv/h and mSv, with conversions to REM also provided.

How does the alarm function indicate danger?

The device sounds a beeping alarm that speeds up as radiation levels rise; the default alarm threshold is set to 5 µSv/hr but can be adjusted.

What is the default alarm threshold?

The default alarm threshold is 5 µSv per hour.
