BC-359 is a clear dry enamel with excellent moisture resistance, fast curing, soft soldering, excellent wear resistance and chemical resistance, low temperature curing (starting from 2300F), preventing wire brittleness, included in UL approved H grade insulation system, suitable for transmission systems.
The HI-THERM BC-359 data sheet provides comprehensive information on the product's physical characteristics, such as density, viscosity, and film thickness, as well as mechanical performance including tensile strength and electrical resistance. It also outlines typical applications and the recommended curing schedule.
Guidelines for handling, storage, and safety are included, specifying storage temperatures, shelf life, and precautions to avoid moisture, chemicals, and ignition sources. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Density @77°F (257°C) | 7.2-8.2 lbs/gal |
|---|---|
| Viscosity @77°F (257°C) | 180-340 cps |
| Film thickness (ASTM D-115) | 1.5-2.0 mils |
| Tensile strength @25°C | 28 lbs |
| Tensile strength @150°C | 3.5 lbs |
| Electrical resistance (volts/mi) | 3000 volts/mi |
| Recommended storage temperature | 70°F (21°C) or below |
| Shelf life at 70°F | 1 year |
BC-359 should be cured at temperatures between 250°F and 325°F, with typical cure times of 1‑2 hours at 325°F, 2‑3 hours at 275°F, 3‑4 hours at 250°F, and 6‑9 hours at 230°F.
Store BC-359 in a sealed container at 70°F (21°C) or lower, away from direct sunlight, sparks, and open flame.
When stored at 70°F or below, BC-359 remains usable for one year.
