PerkinElmer TPS 2534 Dual Channel Thermopile Datasheet

The TPS 2534 is a dual channel thermopile sensor that utilizes two single thermopile chips and a 40 kΩ thermistor as a temperature reference. The sensor has two windows of size 2.3 x 2.6 mm2 each, which can be equipped with different infrared bandpass filters. The sensor is perfectly suited to gas detection by IR absorption. For further information, please refer to the TPS 2534 product note.

About this manual

The TPS 2534 sensor incorporates two thermopile chips in a TO‑5 package, each with its own infrared band‑pass filter window (2.3 × 2.6 mm). A 40 kΩ thermistor provides temperature reference, making the device well suited for NDIR gas sensing.

Key specifications include a sensitive area of 2 × 1.2 × 1.2 mm², DC sensitivity of 42 V/W (500 K black‑body, no filter), and an operating temperature range of –40 °C to 100 °C. The sensor offers a 35 ms time constant, low noise (30 nV/√Hz rms), and a field‑of‑view of 2 × 90° at 50 % points.
