AGS Vic-Strainer filters are lighter than flanged Y strainers, have a straight-through flow path and lower pressure drop. It is installed with two Victaulic couplings and has a maximum rated pressure of 300 psi/2065 kPa. The filter is made of durable 304 stainless steel. The standard mesh size is 6 mesh for filters in sizes 14-16 inches / 350-400 mm, and 4 mesh for filters in sizes 18-24 inches / 450-600 mm. Other smaller mesh sizes are also available. The inlet blind plate allows the filter basket to be removed easily for cleaning. The pressure drop between the front and back of the filter must be controlled below 10 psi/69 kPa.
