This document is the installation manual for Founder Technology servers, introducing the features and characteristics of the Founder Yuanming MT500B series.
This manual provides safety warnings and preparation steps before installing the Founder MT500B server, including recommended workspace, temperature and power requirements. It then walks through hardware inspection, connection of peripherals, power‑on sequence, RAID configuration and driver installation.
Further sections describe how to install supported operating systems such as Windows 2000/2003, RedHat and NetWare, as well as the use of the RME 3.1 management software and Host RAID Alert utility. Because the MT500B server has redundant power supplies, three power connectors are needed – two for the server power modules and one for the monitor.
The server supports Windows 2000, Windows 2003, RedHat 8.0, RedHat 9.0, NetWare 6.0 and OpenUnix 8.0.
Storage temperature is –40 °C to 55 °C, while the operating temperature range is 10 °C to 35 °C.
