This document is the datasheet of SC1164/5, which introduces the features and characteristics of the product.

SC1162/3 is a programmable synchronous DC/DC converter from Semtech. It integrates a low-dropout linear regulator controller and provides most of the circuitry necessary to implement two DC/DC converters for powering advanced microprocessors such as Pentium ® II.

The SC1159 is a programmable synchronous DC/DC hysteretic controller designed for use in single ended power supply applications where efficiency is the primary concern. It is ideal for implementing DC/DC converters needed to power advanced microprocessors such as Pentium III and Athlon, in both single and multiple processor configurations. The controller features an integrated 5-bit D/A converter, temperature compensated voltage reference, current limit comparator, over-current protection, and an adaptive deadtime circuit to prevent shoot-through of the power MOSFET during switching transitions. It also provides power good signaling, logic compatible shutdown, and over-voltage protection.

The SC1158 is a low-cost, full featured, synchronous voltage-mode controller designed for use in single-ended power supply applications where efficiency is of primary concern. Synchronous operation allows for the elimination of heat sinks in many applications. The SC1158 is ideal for implementing DC/DC converters needed to power advanced microprocessors such as Pentium II and K6-2. It features an integrated 4-bit VID DAC, temperature-compensated voltage reference, triangle wave oscillator, current limit comparator, frequency shift over-current protection, and an internally compensated error amplifier. The SC1158 operates at a fixed 140KHz, providing an optimum compromise between efficiency, external component size, and cost.

The SC1157 is a programmable synchronous DC/DC controller designed for single-ended power supply applications. It is low-cost and efficient, making it ideal for powering advanced microprocessors such as Pentium II.

The SC1155 is a programmable synchronous DC/DC hysteretic controller designed for use in single ended power supply applications where efficiency is the primary concern. The controller is a hysteretic type, with a user selectable hysteresis. The SC1155 is ideal for implementing DC/DC converters needed to power advanced microprocessors such as Pentium® III and Athlon®, in both single and multiple processor configurations. Inhibit, under-voltage lockout and soft-start functions are included for controlled power-up.

SC1154 is a programmable synchronous DC/DC switch-mode controller from Semtech. It features high efficiency and low external components. It is ideal for single-ended power supply applications.

The SC1153 is a programmable synchronous DC/DC controller designed for use in single ended power supply applications where efficiency is of primary concern. It features low cost, full functionality, synchronous operation, and a 5-bit VID programmable output. It is ideal for implementing DC/DC converters needed to power advanced microprocessors.

The SC1152 is a low-cost, full featured, synchronous voltage-mode controller designed for use in single ended power supply applications where efficiency is of primary concern. Synchronous operation allows for the elimination of heat sinks in many applications. The SC1152 is ideal for implementing DC/DC converters needed to power advanced microprocessors such as Pentium ® ll (Klamath), in both single and multiple pro- cessor configurations. Internal level-shift, high-side drive circuitry, and preset shoot-thru control, allows for use of inexpensive n-channel power switches. SC1152 features include an integrated 5-bit VID DAC, temperature compensated voltage reference, triangle wave oscillator, current limit comparator, frequency shift over-current protection, and an accessible, inter- nally compensated error amplifier.

This document is the data sheet of SC1151, which introduces the features and characteristics of the product, including the maximum working voltage, working temperature range, and package type.

SC1150 is a programmable DC/DC controller produced by Semtech. It provides 2.0V to 3.5V power for Intel Pentium ® Pro microprocessors. It has an efficiency of 85%, 4-bit DAC for output programmability, integrated power good and OVP functions, and meets Intel Pentium ® Pro VRM8.0 specifications

The SC1146 is the latest, high performance, multi-phase (PWM) controller designed for high power mi- croprocessors requiring ultra fast transient response.
