This EE-Note introduces a framework for dynamically loading code and data that can be loaded from an external source at runtime. This framework can greatly increase an application's ability to respond to changing and emerging requirements within otherwise static software. It also allows third parties to dynamically add capability to a system without having to re-flash deployed systems.

This application note describes the conversion from the continuous to the discrete time domain, which is essential for every implementation on a digital processor. A routine is then presented that implements the discrete time representation of the PI controller.

This application note demonstrates the usage of the pipeline flash Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) system1 on the ADSP-21990. Section one will discuss the ADC library routines. In section two, an example will be used to demonstrate the usage of these routines. The last section shows some experimental results.

This document demonstrates the use of the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) block of the ADSP-21990 to generate three-phase sine-wave patterns. It provides an example of configuring the PWM registers and setting the PWM interrupts.

Introduces the theory of reference frames used in the analysis of electrical machines and provides routines for easy conversion between reference frames

Analog Devices' Blackfin Car Telematics Platform (CTP) is a pivotal innovation for the automotive industry, integrating a powerful processor, key software elements, and an open expandable environment to enable the next generation of ubiquitous telematics.

This document introduces the MIC2027/2077 quad USB power distribution switch, which features overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown, and has an integrated soft-start circuit to minimize inrush current in applications with highly capacitive loads. The switch also provides a fault status output signal to indicate overcurrent and thermal shutdown conditions.

Analog Devices precision analog microcontrollers combine precision analog functions, such as high resolution ADCs and DACs, a voltage reference, and temperature sensor with an industry-standard microcontroller and flash memory. These devices use a single 32-bit bus for instructions and data, integrate a JTAG test port for debug access, and operate up to 44 MHz. In addition to the 32-bit ARM instruction set, the core supports an instruction set that is compressed into 16 bits (Thumb mode). The on-chip precision analog I/O includes a multichannel 1 MSPS, 12-bit A/D converter, up to four 12-bit voltage-output D/A converters, a low drift band gap voltage reference, a temperature sensor, 3-phase PWM, a user-configurable PLA, and an uncommitted voltage comparator. All of this, and more, come in a variety of package footprints with the smallest being a tiny 6 mm × 6 mm, 40-lead chip scale package.

This document introduces the features and characteristics of the MIC2026/2076 dual-channel power distribution switch.

This document is a guide on using Analog Devices' DSP, audio, and video components. It covers language extensions, memory storage types, ASM, and inline constructs. The document provides examples and guidelines to help users better understand and program ADSP processors.

This document introduces the selection method of DSP processor, including speed, flexibility and dynamic range
