  • intersil ISL6557A Data Sheet

The ISL6557A is a multi-phase PWM controller for core-voltage regulation. It drives up to four interleaved synchronous-rectified buck-converter channels in parallel. The multi-phase buck converter architecture uses interleaved timing to multiply ripple frequency and reduce input and output ripple currents. Lower ripple results in lower total component cost, reduced dissipation, and smaller implementation area. The ISL6557A also features Dynamic-VID™ technology, allowing seamless on-the-fly VID changes with no need for any additional external components. It provides fast and reliable dynamic VID changes with no output voltage overshoot or undershoot. The RGND and VSEN pins provide inputs for differential remote voltage sensing to improve regulation and protection accuracy.

  • INTERSIL ISL78010 handbook

The ISL78010 is a multiple output regulator for use in all TFT-LCD automotive applications. It features a single boost converter with an integrated 2A FET, two positive LDOs for VON and VLOGIC generation, and a single negative LDO for VOFF generation. The boost converter can be programmed to operate in either P-mode for optimal transient response or PI-mode for improved load regulation. The ISL78010 includes fault protection for all four channels. Once a fault is detected on either the VBOOST, VON or VOFF channels, the device is latched off until the input supply or EN is cycled. If a fault is detected on the VLOGIC channel, the device is latched off until the input supply is cycled. The VLOGIC channel is not affected by the EN function. The ISL78010 also includes an integrated start-up sequence for VLOGIC, VBOOST, VOFF, then VON or for VLOGIC, VOFF, VBOOST, and VON. The latter sequence requires a single external transistor. The timing of the start-up sequence is set using an external capacitor. The ISL78010 comes in a 32 Ld 5x5 TQFP package and is specified for operation over a -40°C to +105°C temperature range.

  • INTERSIL ICL7106 ICL7107 ICL7107S handbook

ICL7106 and ICL7107 are Intersil's high performance, low power, 31/2 digit A/D converters. Included are seven segment decoders, display drivers, a reference, and a clock. The ICL7106 is designed to interface with a liquid crystal display (LCD) and includes a multiplexed backplane drive; the ICL7107 will directly drive an instrument size light emitting diode (LED) display. The ICL7106 and ICL7107 bring together a combination of high accuracy, versatility, and true economy. It features auto- zero to less than 10µV, zero drift of less than 1µV/oC, input bias current of 10pA (Max), and rollover error of less than one count. True differential inputs and reference are useful in all systems, but give the designer an uncommon advantage when measuring load cells, strain gauges and other bridge type transducers. Finally, the true economy of single power supply operation (ICL7106), enables a high performance panel meter to be built with the addition of only 10 passive components and a display.

  • intersil ISL6406/ISL6426 handbook

ISL6406, ISL6426 is an adjustable frequency, synchronous buck switching regulator optimized for generating lower voltages for the distributed DC-DC architectures. ISL6406 offers an adjustable output voltage, while ISL6426 provides a fixed 1.8V output. Designed to drive N-Channel MOSFETs in synchronous buck topology, the ISL6406, ISL6426 integrates the control, output adjustment and protection functions into a single package. The ISL6406, ISL6426 provides simple, single feedback loop, voltage-mode control with fast transient response. The output voltage can be precisely regulated to as low as 0.8V. The error amplifier features a 15MHz gain-bandwidth product and 6V/µs slew rate which enables high converter bandwidth for fast transient performance. Protection from overcurrent conditions is provided by monitoring the rDS(ON) of the upper MOSFET to inhibit PWM operation appropriately. This approach simplifies the implementation and improves efficiency by eliminating the need for a current sense resistor. The wide programmable switching frequency range of 100kHz to 700kHz allows the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors. The device also provides external frequency synchronization making it an ideal choice for DC-DC converter applications.

  • INTERSIL EL7585 Manual

The EL7585 is a multiple output regulator designed for use in large panel, TFT-LCD applications. It features a single boost converter with an integrated 3.5A FET, two positive LDOs for generating VON and VLOGIC, and a single negative LDO for generating VOFF. The boost converter can be programmed to operate in either P-mode or PI-mode to improve load regulation. The EL7585 also includes fault protection for all four channels. Once a fault is detected, the device is latched off until the input supply or EN is cycled. This device also incorporates an integrated start-up sequence for VBOOST, VOFF, then VON or for VOFF, VBOOST, and VON sequencing. The latter requires a single external transistor. The timing of the start-up sequence is set using an external capacitor. The EL7585 is specified for operation over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
