VORTAB Flow Conditioner Installation and Operation Guide
This guide provides detailed installation procedures and operational guidelines for VORTAB flow conditioners. It covers various models including Insertion Panel (VIP), Insertion Sleeve (VIS), Meter Run (VMR), Short Run (VSR), Elbow (VEL), and Field Kit (VFK). Each model is designed to establish a uniform, non-swirling velocity profile downstream from flow meters or process equipment. Installation methods include flange mounting, welding, or field assembly, with specific orientation and spacing requirements to ensure optimal performance and minimal pressure loss.
The document also includes technical specifications for each model, detailing materials, pipe sizes, connection types, and length requirements. It emphasizes the importance of correct installation to avoid flow disturbances, cavitation, and equipment damage. Orientation is critical for VIP models, and the guide provides visual references and step-by-step instructions for proper installation.
