This document describes the features and characteristics of the ISD1400 series single-chip voice record/playback devices.

This document introduces the ISD1400 series of single-chip voice record/playback devices, including 16- and 20-second duration devices. These devices support both single-byte and double-byte encoding formats, and can operate over a wide range of voltage.

ISD1000A Series is a single-chip voice record/playback solution provided by Information Storage Devices. It has 16 and 20 seconds of record/playback time, can be cascaded directly for longer record/playback time, has a standby current of 1µA, eliminates the need for battery backup circuits, supports multiple message storage, and has record cycles up to 100,000 times and storage time up to 100 years.
