About this manual

uMobility replaces weak cellular signals inside buildings with a strong Wi‑Fi signal, allowing subscribers to answer their office or home phone from any cell phone while keeping all calls on the wireline network. This improves voice quality, eliminates cellular minute charges, and maintains the appearance of being at the desk.

The solution consists of the uMobility Controller software and a cell‑phone client. It runs on standard off‑the‑shelf hardware and integrates with popular SIP‑based softswitches. System requirements include RedHat Enterprise Server 5.0, a 3 GHz+ Pentium 4 or Xeon CPU, 1 GB RAM, 2 GB hard drive, and a gigabit network interface, with support for a range of Windows Mobile and Symbian phones.
