Frequently asked questions
How does the battery status indicator work?
Three LEDs show battery condition: green means normal, orange indicates low charge that should be replaced soon, and red means the battery is very low and the device cannot operate.
How can I adjust the detector’s sensitivity?
Press the sensitivity up or down keys to select one of seven sensitivity levels, which are indicated by the number of illuminated LEDs.
What does the reset function do and how is it used?
The reset key clears the reference zero point, ignoring ambient refrigerant concentration; press it to zero the instrument before or after a measurement.
Can the detector sense SF6 gas?
Yes, the XP‑1A can detect SF6 gas with a limit sensitivity of less than 3 g per year.
