About this manual

The PISA-M in‑place MEMS inclinometer provides continuous, unattended measurement of lateral displacement in soil, rock and structures. It is suited for slope stability, dam and embankment performance, sheet‑pile and diaphragm‑wall deformation, tunnelling‑induced ground movement, and deflection of laterally loaded piles. The system uses a single serial cable for all sensors, allowing many sensors per borehole and easy reuse on subsequent projects.

Technically, the device is a uniaxial or biaxial tilt transducer with built‑in signal conditioning housed in a stainless‑steel tube. It includes guide wheels for smooth insertion, optional gauge lengths, and a power supply of +8 to +15 VDC. Ordering requires specification of sensor type, gauge length, casing size, and cable length.
