ROCOL CHAINGUARD 550 is a dry film lubricant designed for extreme temperatures up to 550°C. It is ideal for conveyor chains in high-temperature environments where contamination from wet lubricants is unacceptable, such as bakery oven chains. The product evaporates cleanly, leaving no residue, and offers excellent EP and anti-wear properties. It is applied manually via pressure oilcan or brush, and should be applied to cool chains (below 120°C) to ensure full penetration before evaporation.
The lubricant has a shelf life of 2 years when stored between +1°C and +40°C in its original container. It contains 15% graphite with particles less than 10 microns, and its base fluid is polyalkylene glycol. It is non-hazardous under CHIP classification and requires minimal personal protection during use.
