The Ortovox S1+ user manual explains operation, smart‑antenna technology, battery use and safety guidelines for the avalanche transceiver.
The S1+ avalanche transceiver combines a digital display with Ortovox’s patented Smart‑antenna technology. All three built‑in antennas (X, Y, Z) work together to show distance, direction and enable fine search, improving victim visibility in the avalanche. The device automatically switches to the optimal antenna based on its orientation, extending the transmission range up to double the normal range.
The manual covers operating elements, registration, carrying instructions, power‑on procedure, technical specifications and service information. It also provides safety recommendations, battery replacement guidance, temperature limits and warranty registration details. This manual is written in German.
