About this manual

This document describes the MOVI Control Box, a 2U 19” rack-mount unit designed to control components of the Micro-Orifice Volatilization Impactor (MOVI) in chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS) systems. It includes analog and digital I/O, temperature controllers, heater drivers, and USB connectivity. Two prototypes were built and tested for integration with EyeOn software.

The control box supports heater power distribution, RH/T sensors, MFCs, water pumps, and solenoid valves. It is designed for use with CIMS systems and is planned for delivery to research groups in early 2013.
