The KPT 3829-234 and 3829-240 electromagnetic sensors provide compact, wear‑free position detection for block hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders with IP67…
These electromagnetic sensors are designed for position detection in block hydraulic cylinders and pneumatic angular cylinders. They feature a compact design, wear‑free operation, battery reverse protection, short‑circuit protection, and IP67 ingress protection, suitable for temperatures from –25 °C to +100 °C.
The sensors are mounted on non‑magnetic cylinder housings (aluminum or copper) and detect the magnetic field of a permanent magnet fixed on the piston. Switch points can be adjusted by moving the sensor within a radial guide slot, and multiple sensors can be installed in a single cylinder with a minimum spacing of 25–30 mm to avoid magnetic interference. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Input voltage | 10‑30 V DC |
|---|---|
| Maximum waveform deviation | 10 % |
| Output current ILOAD (‑25 °C) | 200 mA |
| Current consumption | < 15 mA |
| Voltage drop at max load | < 2 V |
| Battery reverse protection | Installed |
| Switching frequency | 1 kHz |
| Switching hysteresis point | 3 mm |
| Protection rating | IP67 (DIN 40050) |
| Operating temperature range | –25 °C to +100 °C |
| Connector type | M8 plug with LED indicators |
| Maximum sensors in series | Four |
The sensor should be at least 25–30 mm away from other magnetic parts to avoid interference.
A specially designed capacitor can be added to reduce peak voltage and smooth the waveform.
The sensor meets IP67 protection according to DIN 40050.
