The ELMESS QTRKK is a wall‑mountable room thermostat for hazardous areas, featuring fixed temperature settings and ATEX‑rated protection.
About this manual
The QTRKK is a room thermostat designed for wall mounting in explosive atmospheres (hazardous areas II 2G and II 3D). It is housed in a shock‑resistant polyester case filled with pure mineral material and includes a sensor and a 2 m connecting cable that cannot be opened.
Installation is performed with two factory‑mounted fastening clamps. The device operates in ambient temperatures from –25 °C to +40 °C (EN 50014), with an extended range of –40 °C to +70 °C available on request. It provides fixed temperature settings of +5 °C, +10 °C, or +15 °C, and is protected by an EEx q II T6 “sand capsule” type with a minimum IP54 rating. No regular maintenance is required, and repairs are not permitted as they would void the protection class. This manual is written in German.
