The Eijkelkamp hand penetrometer is offered in two sets: the SA set for measurements to a depth of 1 m and the SB set for depths up to 3 m. Both sets include a range of cones, probing and extension rods, a measuring instrument with a pressure gauge, a tool set, a cone‑check, a calibration certificate and an instruction manual.
The device measures soil bearing capacity with a pressure gauge range of 10000 kN/m² (10000 kPa) and an accuracy of ±8 % within the advised range. It can be operated with full body weight, and an auger is provided for pre‑drilling tougher layers. All components are packed in compact aluminium carrying cases.
