User guide for integrating CA Unicenter APM with CA Clarity PPM, covering setup, installation, and asset data import.
This manual explains how to install and configure the CA Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management Connector to integrate with CA Clarity PPM. It covers installing software patches, activating charge codes, and importing asset data. The guide also details how cost records and fiscal time periods are handled during import.
The document includes setup instructions, field mapping between Unicenter APM and CA Clarity PPM, and procedures for deleting assets. It is intended for users managing IT assets and financial data across these platforms.
Log in to CA Clarity PPM, open Administration, click Charge Codes, select No for Open for Time Entry, select the charge codes, and click Open.
Assets are usually retired rather than deleted in Unicenter APM. You must manually resolve deletion in CA Clarity PPM when retiring assets.
When you import cost records, a cost plan line item is created in CA Clarity PPM. Updates to the Unicenter APM cost record overwrite the corresponding cost plan line item on the next run of the Import process.
