This manual provides operating instructions, calibration steps, and software usage for the Beijing Ouhualian EM38-MK2 and EM38-MK2-1 Earth Conductivity Meters.
The Beijing Ouhualian EM38 series Earth Conductivity Meters measure soil electrical conductivity using electromagnetic induction. The EM38-MK2 model features two transmit/receive coils to measure both 1-meter and 0.5-meter depths simultaneously, while the EM38-MK2-1 measures at 1-meter depth. The instrument displays data on built-in screens and can connect to a field PC for data logging. This manual is written in Chinese.

| Phase Measurement Range (0.5m) | ±7 ppt (1,000 mS/m) |
| Measurement Accuracy | ±0.1% full scale deflection |
| Operating Frequency | 14.5kHz |
| Communication Interfaces | RS232, Wireless Bluetooth |
| Temperature Range | -30°C to +50°C |
| Power Supply | 9V transistor radio battery |
| Battery Life (MN1604) | 5 hours continuous |
| Battery Life (L522) | 2 hours continuous |
The battery level is considered normal when the screen value is between 1500 and 720.
The instrument uses a single 9V transistor radio battery.
Place the instrument horizontally and set Q/P and I/P readings to zero, then adjust the Q/P knob to calibrate.
The minimum height required for the 0.5m separation coil mode is 0.75 meters.
