The Amidon catalog provides technical data, material options, frequency ranges, permeability and AL‑values for various powdered‑iron ring cores (e.g.…
The catalog lists Amidon’s powdered‑iron ring cores in a wide size range from 0.05 in (1.3 mm) up to over 6.5 in (165 mm) outer diameter. Two basic material types are offered – carbonyl‑iron cores with permeability µ = 1‑75 and hydrogen‑reduced iron cores with µ = 35‑90 – suitable for HF circuits, EMI filters and NF‑drossels.
Detailed tables give the AL‑value (µH per 100 turns), frequency range, colour coding and material number for each model (T12‑T650). The document also contains ordering instructions, colour‑code legends and legal notices. This manual is written in German.
| AL‑value for model T12 | 3.18 µH/100 turns |
|---|---|
| Frequency range for material #0 (brown) | 50‑300 MHz |
Amidon offers carbonyl‑iron cores and hydrogen‑reduced iron cores.
Hydrogen‑reduced iron cores are primarily used for EMI filters and NF‑drossels.
