The GF 7649 is a thermal transfer ribbon designed for use with barcode printers. It is supplied by Gentle Enterprises Ltd. and is intended for high‑quality, smudge‑resistant printing on a variety of label stocks.
Key specifications include a wax/resin composition, 4.5 µm film thickness, 1.5 Macbeth print density, and a print speed of 8 ips (203 mm/s). The ribbon operates best at temperatures between 5 °C and 40 °C and should be stored below 40 °C with 35 %–85 % relative humidity.
