This is the English instruction manual (Ver. 1.1) for the Sony EVI-370 series color camera blocks. The series is described as ultra-compact CCD camera blocks with a 12 times zoom auto-focus lens, a 1/3 inch Hyper HAD CCD with 380000 (NTSC)/440000 (PAL) effective pixels, and both composite and YC video output; the six variants (EVI-370, EVI-370D, EVI-371, EVI-371D, EVI-370DG, EVI-371DG) are covered.
The manual opens with an outline of the camera functions, then gives general specifications, block diagrams, dimensions and a list of input/output pins. Later sections explain the functions in outline, function control, control methods, installation and handling precautions. The EVI-370D series uses the VISCA protocol over an RS-232C interface, and the DG models detect an external VBS signal for sync lock.
