A gate valve is a sluice gate. The movement direction of the sluice gate is perpendicular to the flow direction. The gate valve can only be fully open and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted and throttled. The gate valve seals the valve seat and the sluice gate by contact. The sealing surface is usually welded with metal materials to increase wear resistance.
