ELGUIDER is the Erhardt+Leimer's new generation web guiding system for improved quality and productivity. ELGUIDER uses a closed loop control system to eliminate quality problems caused by web deviations from the original position. The ELGUIDER continuously monitors the web position and automatically adjusts the guiding system. ELGUIDER can also be interconnected with other Erhardt+Leimer systems for remote maintenance and management.
The ELGUIDER system is designed to improve quality and productivity of web‑type material processing by continuously acquiring and controlling web position. It eliminates common position errors such as web offset, reel mis‑winding and tumbling, offering higher precision and reduced downtime.
The system combines various sensors (infrared, ultrasonic, color line) with a digital controller and pivoting frame actuators. It supports Ethernet, CAN and Power‑over‑Ethernet networking, allowing up to 255 participants and remote maintenance via Industry 4.0 features.
