SwemaAir 5 Hot Wire Anemometer Manual

SwemaAir 5 is a hot-wire anemometer for measuring air velocity and flow (airflow). The instrument has an integrated barometer, which together with the temperature sensor in the hot-wire probe compensates for the changing density of the air. In order to make the flow measurements in ducts accurate, it is possible to enter a K2 factor (duct factor) in the instrument, which compensates for the friction resistance along the duct wall in ventilation ducts, so that the flow is reduced in accordance with NVG (T22: 1998). The area can be entered either as a diameter, height x width, or the area directly. The maximum, minimum and average value for each measurement is displayed on the display. The instrument has a wide range of applications, for example for measuring air speed in ducts, draught from windows, air speed measurement over grates etc. For air speed, choose between m/s and fpm. For flow, choose between l/s, m3/h and CFM. All measurements can be stored in the instrument's memory and subsequently transferred to a PC via the free software, Swema Terminal3. SwemaAir 5 is supplied complete with calibration certificate (0.1…12 m/s), telescopic hot-wire probe, USB cable, rechargeable AA batteries and manual. Technical data Recommended calibration interval: 1 year or follow the instructions on the instrument.
